Our founder Emily Brown, a thought leader in the “food is medicine” movement, knows firsthand the importance of having access to the right foods. She conceived of Free From Market while her own family struggled to afford the foods her children with chronic conditions needed to stay healthy.
Emily realized the current system either expects people to change their eating habits without adequate support, or prescribes generic interventions that don’t measure impact. She knew there had to be a better way.
